Best of NeXT Sircle in 2023

The project that most of all highlighted the skills, competencies and commitment of the entire Sircle was undoubtedly for a "Public Government Foundation”.
The need that was outlined to us was the modernization of software infrastructures, in order to adopt the new architectural paradigms (K8S) and the introduction of new automation technologies (Azure DevOps, Spring Cloud Data Flow) to support the latest technologies in the field of application development (microservices).
Throughout the time, we have been constantly involved in all aspects. During the first phase, another sircle was involved in the design of a complex architecture, consisting of different products, in order to cover every need that emerged such as: storage equipment, traffic management and network security, disaster recovery mechanisms, multisite application distribution in Active/Passive mode.
We also took care of the definition of the final solution with a further criticality given by the need to integrate the new platform with the ecosystem already present at the customer (log, monitoring, automation, API, CI/CD, backup), and then move on to the implementation and configuration of an architecture based on VMware Tanzu technology capable of creating, managing and maintaining the life cycle of both Kubernetes clusters and the applications that use their potentials. At the end of the first phase, our partnered sircle took care of the delivery on Kubernetes Tanzu clusters of some applications that were important to the customer. We can certainly bring for example the installation and configuration of Spring Cloud Data Flow for the management of Batch Jobs, useful for the transfer of large amounts of data in an automated and secure way. We have also been involved in the implementation of application CI/CD mechanisms through the integration between Azure DevOps and TKGS (Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Service) through the creation of dedicated pipelines.
To further underline the excellent result obtained, there was also the customer's decision to entrust SORINT with the 360° management of the platform.
During 2023, the foundation exactly embodied the value proposition of the sircle, which has always placed everything related to Application Modernization in all its aspects at the center of its activities.

Il progetto che più di tutti ha messo in luce le capacità, le competenze e l'impegno di tutto il Sircle è stato senza dubbio “Fondazione di Pubblica Amministrazione”.
L'esigenza che ci è stata prospettata è stata la modernizzazione delle infrastrutture software, al fine di adottare i nuovi paradigmi architetturali (K8S) e l'introduzione di nuove tecnologie di automazione (Azure DevOps, Spring Cloud Data Flow) a supporto delle più recenti tecnologie nel campo dello sviluppo applicativo (microservizi).Nel corso del tempo, siamo stati costantemente coinvolti in tutti gli aspetti.
Durante la prima fase, NeXT è stato coinvolto nella progettazione di un'architettura complessa, composta da diversi prodotti, al fine di coprire ogni esigenza emersa, come ad esempio: apparati di storage, gestione del traffico e sicurezza di rete, meccanismi di disaster recovery, distribuzione di applicazioni multisito in modalità attiva/passiva. Ci siamo occupati anche della definizione della soluzione finale con un'ulteriore criticità data dalla necessità di integrare la nuova piattaforma con l'ecosistema già presente presso il cliente (log, monitoraggio, automazione, API, CICD, backup), per poi passare all'implementazione e alla configurazione di un'architettura basata su tecnologia VMware Tanzu in grado di creare, gestire e mantenere il ciclo di vita sia dei cluster Kubernetes sia delle applicazioni che ne sfruttano le potenzialità.
Al termine della prima fase, il sircle NeXT si è occupato del delivery su cluster Kubernetes Tanzu di alcune applicazioni importanti per il cliente. Possiamo sicuramente portare ad esempio l'installazione e la configurazione di Spring Cloud Data Flow per la gestione dei Batch Jobs, utili per il trasferimento di grandi quantità di dati in modo automatizzato e sicuro.Ci siamo occupati anche dell'implementazione di meccanismi di CI/CD applicativo attraverso l'integrazione tra Azure DevOps e TKGS (Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Service) mediante la creazione di pipeline dedicate.
A sottolineare ulteriormente l'ottimo risultato ottenuto, c'è stata anche la decisione del cliente di affidare a Sorint la gestione a 360° della piattaforma.
Nel corso del 2023, la fondazione ha incarnato esattamente la value proposition del Sircle NeXT, che da sempre pone al centro delle proprie attività tutto ciò che riguarda l'Application Modernization in tutti i suoi aspetti.
