Siamo felici di annunciare un importante traguardo per il sircle Application Performance: sei membri del team hanno ottenuto la certificazione ISTQB Foundation Level, un risultato che rappresenta un impegno verso la crescita individuale e collettiva!

Ma cos'è esattamente l'ISTQB e perché è così importante?

• ISTQB sta per International Software Testing Qualifications Board, un'organizzazione internazionale che si occupa di sviluppare e mantenere standard internazionali per le certificazioni nel campo del software testing.

• La certificazione Foundation Level è un riconoscimento delle competenze fondamentali nel campo del testing del software, compresi i concetti chiave, le metodologie e le tecniche di testing.

• Ciò che rende questa certificazione così preziosa è il suo focus sulle attività all'interno del processo di test, piuttosto che su un particolare framework o tecnologia. Ciò significa che le nozioni apprese attraverso questa certificazione sono spendibili indipendentemente dall'ambiente di lavoro, dalla metodologia o dal tipo di progetto in cui ci si trova.

Il nostro percorso è stato guidato da un obiettivo chiaro e condiviso: dopo aver partecipato all'Italian Software Testing Forum (STF) di Milano alla fine del 2022, il nostro sircle si è impegnato a ottenere la certificazione entro un anno. E siamo estremamente orgogliosi di aver raggiunto questo obiettivo.

Il primo passo è stato compiuto da Valeria Pasinelli a Giugno 2023, seguita da MariaPia Cavarretta a Dicembre 2023, Pietro Ferrulli a Febbraio 2024 e Lisa Scarpellini a Marzo 2024. Luigi Savio e Giorgio Cassia hanno concluso il percorso ad Aprile 2024. Alessandro Suru ha invece ottenuto diverse certificazioni per Splunk (Core, Enterprise, Reseller) e sta ultimando il percorso per conseguire la certificazione Metrics. A queste certificazioni dedicheremo il prossimo aggiornamento.

E' stato un viaggio collettivo che ha richiesto impegno, determinazione e collaborazione da parte di tutti.

Ma questo è solo l'inizio. Il prossimo obiettivo è certificare ciscuno in un'area specifica di test.

A Year of ISTQB Certifications for Application Performance

We are pleased to announce a significant milestone for the Application Performance sircle: six members have achieved the ISTQB Foundation Level certification, a result that signifies a commitment to individual and collective growth!

What exactly is ISTQB, and why is it so important?

• ISTQB stands for the International Software Testing Qualifications Board, an international organization dedicated to developing and maintaining international standards for certifications in the field of software testing.
• The Foundation Level certification is a recognition of fundamental skills in software testing, including key concepts, methodologies, and testing techniques.
• What makes this certification valuable is its focus on activities within the testing process rather than on a specific framework or technology. This means that the knowledge gained through this certification is applicable regardless of the work environment, methodology, or project type.

Our journey has been guided by a clear and shared goal: after participating in the Italian Software Testing Forum (STF) in Milan at the end of 2022, our team committed to obtaining the certification within a year. And we are extremely proud to have achieved this goal.

The first step was taken by Valeria Pasinelli in June 2023, followed by MariaPia Cavarretta in December 2023, Pietro Ferrulli in February 2024, and Lisa Scarpellini in March 2024. Luigi Savio and Giorgio Cassia completed the journey in April 2024. Alessandro Suru, on the other hand, has obtained various certifications for Splunk (Core, Enterprise, Reseller) and is currently completing the path to achieve the Metrics certification. We will dedicate the next update to these certifications.

It has been a collective journey that required commitment, determination, and collaboration from everyone.

But this is just the beginning. The next goal is to certify each individual in a specific testing area.
